This is my latest piece of design, Jessica contacted me asking if I could design her a new logo for her Photography business. Upon looking at her photographs she has taken I saw that she takes photos of weddings, people, landscapes and charity events. So I wanted to try and capture this within the design.

Speaking to Jessica she had a vision of what she wanted her logo to look like, scripted typeface, in a circle and a blue colour pallet. After sketching a few ideas I got inspired by her previous business card. It had blue dots on the background, this led me to creating the circle using different sized circles in five different shades of blue. I then placed her name in the centre of the circle in the typeface she liked ‘Gabriola’.
I remembered Jessica saying she would like a little camera somewhere on her logo, so I created a basic camera design in the shape and style of the one she uses. Keeping it the same colour as the text, placing it underneath her name. I made sure it was noticeable, but not too big.
When I showed Jessica the final design she loved it. Receiving such a positive reaction reminded me why I love to create design.
